I've worked on Volkwagen twice in my career, for two different shops. This more-recent social campaign was for the Super Bowl, to integrate with the game day broadcast TV spot. We used the same talent and one of the sets and wrote over 30 short films that ran in the week before the big game on all VW social channels, and on the big day as well. This campaign was meant to drive YouTube views of the broadcast TV spot. 

This older work for was done at Deutsch, also for Super Bowl, also in support of the broadcast TV spot that highlighted the relaunch of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle. The broadcast TV work done by another team focused on the pop-culture meme of people punching whomever's closest in the arm when a VW drives by -- so naturally for the digital we decided to focus on who exactly invented that meme.
